RapunzelRapunzel
was founded in Germany in 1974 by three friends (Joseph Wilhelm,
Hans-Peter Erlinger, and Jennifer Vermeulen) who shared the vision of
promoting healthy living and sustainable agriculture by growing,
manufacturing, and distributing premium quality, organic foods. The
name Rapunzel was chosen to remind people of the importance of eating
good, wholesome food, just as it was depicted in the fairy tale. In the
Brother's Grimm story, the mother of the girl 'Rapunzel' urged her
husband to get her some of the delicious salad from the witch's garden.

meals for people like ourselves, who appreciated good food, but were
often too busy to cook "from scratch."

Arrowhead MillsArrowhead
Mills was founded over 40 years ago in a tin roofed building
in the Texas panhandle by Frank Ford. Frank believed synthetic
pesticides and herbicides weakened crop varieties, broke down
resistance to disease and pests, and ultimately, polluted the food
chain. He put his life savings down on a tractor and set out to farm
organically grown corn and wheat. With a stone mill he ground his
harvest and delivered it to local stores from the back of his pick up
truck. As word spread about organic farming, health stores from Boston
to San Francisco began ordering stock from Arrowhead Mills.
